PRIDE Jubilee

The PRIDE parade takes place in central London on Saturday 6 July. As Soho will be so busy both 56 Dean Street and Dean Street Express are closed on Saturday the 6th of July.

50 years ago, on 28th June 1969, the Stonewall Uprising started a series of events which kicked off the modern PRIDE movement. This year PRIDE is celebrating the Jubilee, remembering fifty years of activism, protests and victories that have changed all our lives.

With the recent high profile attacks against LGBTIQ people it’s really important we take a positive stance against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. It is also promotes our self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increases our visibility, builds community, and celebrates our sexual diversity and gender variance.
