We created PrEP Shop to make it easier and safer for gay men to buy generic HIV PrEP. By using the buying power of the NHS, we aim to keep prices as affordable as we can. And we have good news!
We have negotiated a significant price reduction for PrEP shop. We will be rolling out a new and significantly cheaper pricing structure at the start of June which will save PrEP shop users a considerable amount of money.
1 pack – £30 – equivalent to £30 per pack
3 packs – £60 – equivalent to £20 per pack
6 packs – £105 – equivalent to £17.50 per pack
If you are a PrEP shop user and about to buy a new supply of PrEP, you may prefer to buy a small amount for now, so you can benefit from the price reduction which starts early June.
If you haven’t used PrEP shop before and would like to start using PrEP or need a reminder how PrEP shop works, in the below video we explain it all. We also recommend that you read the PrEP leaflet on the ‘i-Base’ website and have a look how to get started on PrEP.
HIV PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis) involves taking pills containing the drugs tenofovir and emtricitabine to protect you from catching HIV. PrEP is safe and works really well if you take it correctly.
If you’re taking PrEP, it’s really important to get the right advice, run some tests, check you don’t have Hepatitis B, make sure that any other drugs or supplements you take don’t interact with PrEP and that you don’t have any other health problems that might be an issue. PrEP Shop keeps things safe by linking all these things with the doctors and pharmacists who write and check your prescriptions.
