Putting a condom on with your mouth

For some men, the break in being sexual with someone else to put a condom on can reduce the sexual tension. In the video below you will see a technique shown by  pornstar Gabriel Phoenix to put on a condom with your mouth.

Also getting the right feel and fit of a condom is really important for enjoying maximum sensation and staying hard. Using condoms every time you have anal sex is very effective protection from HIV. They also protect you from many other sexually transmitted infections.

If you don’t use a condom or it breaks, your sexual health clinic can supply a course of post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) treatment which has a high chance of protecting you. You can use our PEP calculator [link], if you have been at risk and not sure if you should take it.

PEP involves taking HIV medicines for 4 weeks after you have sex. You should ideally start it within 24 hours, and definitely within 72 hours of unprotected sex. If we are closed, you can get a starter pack from any hospital A&E (emergency) department.

For all men who are worried about staying hard, practising losing and gaining erections on your own can be a great way to feel confident about your erections again, and demonstrate to you that as long as you don’t panic about it, and stay focused on things that turn you on, it is likely to come back.
