Dean Street’s guide where to find new friends

In this article some of the ways to meet new people in London.

Making new friends can be daunting. London is a big place and it can be difficult to know where to start, but London has much to offer. There are many groups and social activities out there, and if you look, you can find something or someone to fit every kind of interest.

Relying only on gay dating apps isn’t the answer. While some guys have found friendships there, most people are looking for something else.

Technology can help though. Searching for your interests on Facebook can reveal a host of groups where you can share your passions and interests. Apps like Meetup also offer a range of local sporting and social activities for gay, bi and mixed groups – there’s everything from painting to pole dancing.

The gay men’s health charity GMFA have a handy guide for London’s gay sports and social groups. And searching through TimeOut and other London guides is a good way to find social groups and events where you can meet likeminded people.
