Do you know someone you think might benefit from starting PrEP?

This month the PrEP Impact trial will reopen at Dean Street. We have 600 more places. Everyone who joins the study will have access to NHS funded PrEP until October 2020. To join the study people need to have tested for HIV in the last year and had condom less anal sex in the last 3 months.

Everyone on Impact gets real PrEP. It is important for everyone who joins the study to understand what PrEP is and how the study will work. Prepster have created a useful guide for people who are interested in joining the study.

People can register their interest by emailing their CLINIC NUMBER to We will contact people in order to let them know how to enroll.

We will send you an email with a link so that you can book into a ‘Group Consent Event’ at 56 Dean Street. The email will also contain a link to the trial’s patient information leaflet.  Please read it before you come to the ‘Group Consent Event’.

On the day of the ‘Group Consent Event’, a member of our team will explain the study to groups of 10-15 people at 56 Dean Street. They will be able to answer any questions you have. After this group meeting we will take you to Dean Street Express for a one to one conversation with a nurse or doctor who will answer any final questions and ask you to sign the consent form saying you agree to join the study.

If you decide to join, you will have a sexual health screen on the same day, including a blood test. You will also have to complete the study paperwork. At the end of the process, you get your first PrEP medicines. We estimate it will take around 2 hours.
